I just overlooked at the disk partitioning that was coming fromACER.The first partition where I intended to install XPe (Partition(1)) wasmarked as OEM (???) and not 'Primary'. Here my steps. I have 28 Thin Clients on a network at work that have been runningfine for 6 months now.Now we are showing traffic from port 445 (i think) out to various IPaddresses all over the world announcing the infection on the affectedthin client. The Thin Clients are running Windows XP EmbeddedSoftware. 17 thin clients are HP T5700 and 11 thin clients are Compaq(pre merger) EVO T20.We now have a need to install updates on the thin clients and possiblyinstall anti-virus software on each one.The thin clients have been setup to auto-login to themselves and thenhave a rdp session in their startup folder that logs them into aTerminal Server after which time they are ready for use.My questions are this:1. If Enhanced Write Filters are on won't a restart take care of thevirus infection (korgo virus.a sasser variant). Thus there beingno need for anti-virus on the thin client. For application development I'm using Visual Studio 2005Team Suite which I own through my MSDN Value subscription.The HP t5730 comes with a Windows XPe license. Installation went well, all drivers went on, everything work fine. Iam just having a couple problems:One problem is once I set up my desktop and screen resolution, after Ireboot, it goes back to the default with the 800X600 resolution, and theicons that were there went I first reinstalled the OS.
